Art Spark is a swinging good time.
It will be fun! You should come!

Every third Thursday, 5p-7p, we gather at local venues to meet, discuss, blather, applaud & plot the growth of the arts in Portland.

This Month: September 17th - Art on Alberta
At Vendetta, 4306 N Williams Ave, @ Skidmore

Event: Fancy yourself a surrealist artist? Intrigued by all things Dada? Eager to explore the real roots of punk? Got an affinity for community and collaboration?
Art on Alberta will engage Art Spark groupies in some Exquisite Corpse games with curious others. Enjoy turn of the century libations and meet Art on Alberta’s volunteer board members who make up NE Portland’s arts and education nonprofit organization dedicated to wholesome fun.

I will be working the front desk at the Museum of Contemporary Craft a few days here and there for the next couple of months. I am hoping spending some time in this amazing place will be inspiring and satisfying.

If you're out and about on Friday, August 28th, come see me from 2:30 to 6pm. I'll also be there on Saturday, September 5th during Art in the Pearl.

1st First Thursday

Last week I was happy to have been a catalyst in bringing together some of my favorite people. Namely, my husband Adam and the restaurant he now manages, and the talented people who make up the collective Handmade NW.
I attended my very 1st First Thursday as a participant rather than a visitor and had a really wonderful time.

Chow's first featured artist (which will be changing monthly) was my sweet friend Bishop Lennon. Her paintings look so great in the space.

The location is prime, the food, drink & entertainment is top, I can't wait to participate next month! Especially since it will be cooler & better scarf selling weather!

What? Who?

Where oh where has Mmm...Fiber! been?

On an unplanned but much needed hiatus. Things in my personal life needed dealing with and unfortunately, everything else fell to the wayside.

Happily, I'm ready to get right back to it!

Expect some new things, old things, different things and a lot more of everything!

Thanks for your support!
